Claude Francheteau: dune

J'étais allongé sur le dos près du fleuve, les yeux plongés dans le bleu profond du ciel. À l'extrémité de mon champ de vision, j'apercevais les toits et les cheminées des immeubles, perdus dans ce vaste espace et qui lui donnaient un sens. Ce que je voyais pouvait être une voie à peindre.

I was lying on my back, near the river, my eyes plunged into the deep blue of the sky. At the edge of my field of vision, I could see the roofs and chimneys of buildings, lost in the vast area and giving it a sense. What I saw could be a way to paint.

WHO?

Born in Nantes- France- in 1971, his work first appeared in local press articles when he was still a child. Enriched by and now liberated from his training at the superior fine arts school, his birth town was to see his débuts in gallery exhibitions.

Painter, poetic draughtsman , he experiments with a variety of presentation techniques. Known as a "raw artist" or an "intense observer" in the eyes of the press, he shares his gentle and atypical vision of an imperfect world in his interactive projects.

Cultured and iconoclast, but inspired by both primitive and classical art, his work reflects the man: spontaneous and unconventional. Claude Francheteau, paradoxical yet open to the dialogue between culture and contemporary art , is a creator who continually and persistently reinvents images and form.

His figurative, graphic and original art, undertaken with singularity wich traverses often unknown parts of research, finds today a new fullfilment in depicting landscapes.

Exhibited in Barcelona and Paris, his work, which has received devoted admiration since its débuts, is also widely sought after by collectors, keenly following this promising artist.
